इसीलिए Bitcoin का रंग सोने की तरह और Litecoin का रंग चांदी की तरह प्रतीक के रूप में दर्शाया जाता है। इन दोनों के Algorithm में भी अन्तर है, जहां Bitcoin SHA-256 algorithm का प्रयोग करता है वहीं Litecoin Scrypt algorithm को support करता है।
